Incredibly detailed and excellent series as usual Brian, I haven’t
purchased this game yet but I am nevertheless enjoying this series.
Oh thank GOD. At first I thought this had to do with that tree spirit thing
during one of the missions that dealt with the crones. Glad I saw this.

You can talk to Harold but don’t do what he asks of you it’s ok if you
accidentally talked to him
The fact that talking to Harold stays as the active marker makes me think
they want you to miss the trophy…
All the money u got from cheating you’d a thought u could fix that armour!
Oops I didn’t kill him lol
Just killed this guy at lv 18 with lvl 14-15 weapons+feline armor. Heres
some tip on killing a lechen. Use Quen, the Lechen attacks in a single
burst and Quen is usually able to absorb a blow. Also pay attention to TWO
animation. One is where it kneels and one that howls. When it kneels, it
will summon a mid range burst of root to attack you for heavy damage, a
simple dodge will do (to the side). As for the howl, it is perhaps the most
deadly. It summon on it’s 1st completed howl a pack of high level wolves.
These arent normal wolves, and you will soon find yourself overwhelmed.
After the initial pack is dead, it will start summoning them one by one.
Dont fret if it happens to summon wolves, simply spam dodge in circles
around the BOSS. When it uses its root attacks, it will usually 1-2 shot
his own wolves as it has friendly damage. You shouldnt be hit in this
phase. To prevent wolves from spawning, simply hit the boss during the howl
phase. Be advised that the howl animation is quite quick, so make sure to
run to him. The boss may occasionally dissapear in a puff of black smoke,
DO NOT stand near it as it will immediately swipe you in your face.
Instead, approach it and prepare to dodge. Land 3 hits only before moving
back. Dimitrium bombs work well vs this boss as it prevents all it’s
abilities. As with this boss, who is a special Lechen, it will occasionally
point at you and summon crows to attack and knock off your Quen. Just roll
around, not dodge, and reapproach when the coast is clear. Patience is all
this boss as of you. In the end claim your Lechen trophy. A base worth of
500 with 5% bonus exp from monsters (Same with Royal Wyvern and the
Ekkimara Vampire trophy)
Missed it.. Fucking shitty devs
I friggin HATE trophies that are designed to be missable ! I chose
Harald’s method, and only now, 20 levels later (after finishing the game),
do I retroactively discover that doing so cost me platinum, and naturally
since there are only a dozen or so save slots, I’ve long since overwritten
it, so the only way to plat now is to start a new game and grind all the
way back to level 15+.
Nooooooooooo. Was so damn close to getting the platinum. No wonder why I
can’t find this quest.
People keep seeing this trophy can be missed. If you want to save the
spirit and get the trophy there is a way. Talk to Harold and remain
undecided, then talk to Sven to hear his plan. SAVE YOUR GAME. Then kill
the Leshen, get your trophy added to your case. Reload your game and do
Harald’s method. You’ll still keep your trophy.
You can still get the trophy by talking to the other guy, just dont
complete his quest
I randomly ran by this thing in the woods just like bears and other
creatures i try to fight it took me out in one hit didn’t know it was a 25
if i knew that i would have ran from it
Who cares about some useless trophies, it’s cooler if you go with Harold’s
way. When you put the wolf hearts on the altar it gives you a epic and
beautiful cutscene and also Sven is a dumb asshole, first he lies to you
then he kills the village elder in cold blood. And afterall it’s wiser to
let the monster live, as the elder said, some may die, but only the best
hunters will survive and keep the villages renown.
But Harald’s choice is *WAY* better… :(
