Our action RPG Shiness is nearing release for PlayStation 4, so we wanted to introduce you to the game through a new Overview trailer taking you through the Lands of Life. The world of Shiness was born over 20 years ago, born of the pen strokes of Samir Rebib, Artistic Director of the studio.
The game’s journey however started on Kickstarter, allowing the project to grow and gain momentum, until it was embraced by Focus Home Interactive. Now the development phase is nearing conclusion, the indie studio keeps pumping all its energy and passion into Shiness, so that a child's dream gives birth to an indie-RPG with a strong personality!
Today's video invites you to the magic world of Shiness, supported by a strong artistic direction, enthralling environments and endearing characters. Explore the world, and use your characters' special powers – Kayenne's telekinesis, Poky's electromagnetic fields manipulation... in order to progress during your adventure and find precious parchments, key to devastating spells and powerful combat techniques.
Throughout your quest, you’ll take part in hyper-dynamic fighting inspired by traditional combat games, combining combos, special moves, magic, elemental affinities and devastating "finish moves". As you complete the quests and battle you win, you will gain experience and level, develop your characters and recruit new playable companions on your team.
We really hope you enjoy our manga inspired action RPG when it releases on PlayStation 4 this year!

This game looks aesthetically pleasing. Really like the cel-shaded cartoon art-style and the character designs, they remind me of the great PS2 marsupial mascots we had like Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Kao the Kangaroo and most definitely Sly Cooper. 🙂

I love how people are complaining about the graphics, every game does not have to look realistic, this is called an ART Style and the best games have them, look at Zelda BoTW, it’s not super realistic but it has a gorgeous art style and honestly games with a pretty art style looks better than the ones with realistic graphics

The narrator sounds like he has a really bad cold and is a bit bored though, odd choice.

Looks cool for a younger audience. There aren’t a lot of sprawling rpg’s that are geared towards younger kids, so this could fill a niche.

my god how can so many people not understand that to make something look good devs CAN use stylization it actually kinda help give the game its own personality because if all games are striving for realism then eventual things and characters do start to look similar.
