The Fantasy Strike team is led by David Sirlin, an ex-Street Fighter dev and top fighting game player. The game has an extreme emphasis on strategy and decision-making over difficult controls, so that it retains depth at high levels of play while being accessible to newcomers of the genre. The characters are from Sirlin’s card games such as Yomi and Puzzle Strike, finally come to life in fighting game form.

ReplyFinally. I read about this game about a year ago in a gaming magazine and I remember reading how accessible it is. Very simple controls. This is potentially going to be a game changer for the fighting game genre. I love the soul calibur games but when the super cool moves are so hard to pull off that you spend hours or even just half hours, time one doesn’t have in today’s world, trying to pull them off, then it’s a problem. I lost interest in SC6. I might get back into it but I don’t know. I really want to be able to do the cool moves without worrying about time.

Replyi bought this game not expecting much, boy was i wrong. so much depth. been playing it for a year now on steam.i have over 6k wins online. the depth is there/single player mode/ and best netcode ever. so if u can get past the name and looks ur in for a great fighting game.
