For what it’s worth, one of the biggest problems with Bubsy and Bubsy 2 was that the ‘camera’ was too close up, resulting in you getting hit by things you aren’t given an honest chance to react too. This time the camera is much further away, so one of the biggest problems with the old games has been remedied here.

Bubsy is nostalgic cuz’ the games were terrible. You were terrified to move cuz’ you’d go flying and instantly die to something that wasn’t on the screen… and that was kinda why we liked it. If you make a real game out of it, what’s the point?
